This time I will introduce Omuro Hachijuhachi-kasho Reijo.
Behind the Ninna-ji temple, on a Mountain road that stretches for about 3 km on Mt Joju there are temples scattered around and each temple is enshrined with Kobo Daishi.
In the 10th year of Bunsei(1827) it was difficult to make pilgrimage to the 88 temples of Shikoku. Therefore, at the request of Prince of 29th Ninnaji temple at that time he brought back the sand from the 88-place sacred sites in Shikoku buried it in the mountain behind Ninnaji and built a hall on top of it which was the beginning of the Omuro Hachijuhachi-kasho Reijo.
It seems that you can visit freely at any time but please be careful because there are places where the footing is not good.
I also visited Omuro Hachijuhachi-kasho Reijo, but it was more difficult than I expected such as climbing steep slopes and rocks.
There were places called a viewing spot where you could see Kyoto City well and the view from there was very beautiful.
It’s a little bit difficult, but please try to visit all 88 places.
