こんにちは。最近なんですが、嵐山を歩いていたらいい香りがしていたので匂いの元を見つけて画像検索してみると金木犀でした。金木犀について調べてみると秋に咲くそうです。さらに、銀木犀もあると知りました。
気になったので右京区で見ることができるのかのか検索してみたら、宕陰小学校の校門横に咲いているとの学校ブログを発見しました。
来年は、銀木犀を見に行ってみたいです。
Recently, while I was walking around Arashiyama, I noticed a lovely fragrance in the air. Curious about where it was coming from, I looked it up with an image search and found out it was osmanthus (kinmokusei in Japanese). When I read more about it, I learned that it blooms in autumn. I also discovered that there’s another kind called ginmokusei, or silver osmanthus.
I wondered if it could be found in Ukyo-ku,so I did a little research and came across a school blog that mentioned silver osmanthus blooming beside the gate of Tōin Elementary School.
Next year, I’d love to go and see the silver osmanthus in person.
